Moon Song

I made a resolution last New Year's to try writing a song, and despite my doubts and lack of genuine interest until today, the inspiration and opportunity indeed came in. I hope others find these lyrics as relaxing and healing as I do:
Cool moon, spill me out
Make me realize what this is all about
Relief from the shrouded fear
Opened curtain to remind me I'm here
Crown eased, spill me further
Take me to the space where it all occurs
Rippling free in the atmosphere
Opened being to remind me I'm here
Why does it feel, at times, like none of this is real?
Heart in place of the mind, but can I unify them to heal?
In the trust and space, I find myself being
And the headstrong grip at last relieving.
Is it a need this time to purposefully let go?
Or am I prematurely leaving, afraid of the end of the show?
This life, so often, a game I have to win
Distrust at every corner, is remembering the past a sin?
And now, in place, where presence is everything
Can I forgo it all and let the true moment sing?
Cool moon, spill me out

It's in the air of a cool moon sun
Where all my petty problems and future fears come undone.
Daylight sky illuminating the cloudy haze
Can you take away the fear and let me appreciate today?
Can you remind me that when I'm older, I'll still be who I am?
Connected, unafraid, and as skull-solid as a ram.
Can you take away my need to fully understand others?
And in place gift me the everlasting ability to be my own mother.
Can you soften my horns and spill me relaxed and safe?
Can you remind me that the moon is already in place?
